Clubs in Monmouthshire have had to take a long hard look at themselves. Some have greatly reduced numbers meaning their GBL sides have had to be dropped, some have sadly folded and once again it is the survival of the fittest.
Our game once again faces a crisis which will put stresses on the committees where decisions made are almost life and death.
safety must come 1st and trophy's, league titles etc must come 2nd. We need to see this season out striking a balance between playing bowls and keeping people safe.
Mental health and wellbeing is the reason why we must return to as close to normality as possible getting people outdoors and playing, breathing in fresh air and getting some light exercise.
its the 2nd season of living with covid 19 and the main priority is to look after clubs to ensure that when all this is a distant memory, bowls is once again in a strong place.
