To date all these fears have been alleviated. The project started in October and was completed before Christmas and there have been no shortage of members turning up to assist in any way they can.
Ultimately it is all about bowls. It is all about improving our profile, attracting new bowlers to the game and keeping a club afloat. Blackwood are not the team it once was and we were lucky to maintain 2nd division status in 2016, however, the aim is to survive, to play bowls. Blackwood have a 112 year history and the present day members/committee have a duty of care to uphold - to keep the club viable through our watch.
Times are a changing and only the strongest will survive - we have chosen to move onwards and hopefully upwards. Fortune follows the brave as they say, lets hope it does.
