Pergola Project
Start December 2020
Completed February 2021
The conception of the idea was first aired in the short summer of 2020. Brian Keeling then drew up the designs and lobbied the council and gained permission to proceed with the project.
Together with friend and fellow bowler, Paul Rowlands, the pair formed a working bubble and worked tirelessly through December and January sourcing materials and equipment in order to create the structure in the most cost effective way possible.
The 1st phase of the project was completed in just 8 weeks with workmanship and materials of the highest quality.
Finishing touches were added such as the spindles and shelving for the all important drinks the finally the widened path and paving leading into the area from the green side.
The club cannot express enough our gratitude to Brian and Paul for a fantastic feature which will serve Blackwood bowlers and their visitors for many years to come.
